Officer Elections -- ITS Nevada would like to announce the slate of candidates for the upcoming 2008 officer election:
- Jim Poston, RTC-Washoe, President
- Denise Inda, NDOT, Vice President
- Lori McIntyre, Econolite, Treasurer
- Adam Olguin, PBS&J, Secretary
We are also accepting nominations, please let us know by November 12 - if we do not receive nominations by then we will move forward with this slate as is. Election will take place by January 6.
Membership Renewals -- Our annual membership renewals are fast approaching. We have slightly modified our membership renewal period over the past couple of years, and can definitively say it is for the 2009 calendar year. Click here for the renewal form, please return this and your membership fee to our PO box at your earliest convenience. Please note that the "individual" membership is really intended for sole proprietors or otherwise small organizations. The "organization" membership is appropriate for most of our agencies and companies.
Call for Papers -- In order to have good meeting topics that are interesting to the membership for the upcoming year, we would like You the Members to tell us what you want to hear. This can either be a suggestion of a topic you would like to see, or an abstract of a topic you would like to present. We'd like to keep these educational in nature - "in your face" product plugging is not what we're looking for, but if a product is a key part of an interesting project that would be of some interest. We're also interested in seeing any part of the process - development, planning, programs, design, construction - where ITS is used as a means to help with our transportation issues.
Scholarship -- We are accepting applications for two $500 scholarships, one for UNR and one for UNLV. Click here for the scholarship application. If you know of anyone who may eligible please forward this to them. We plan to award these at our Dec 3 board meeting, and will announce winners at our Jan 6 general meeting.
ITS Nevada maintains an email distribution list for notices about meetings, events, etc. If you'd like to join or leave the list, please use the box below. You will be sent an email message to confirm your decision.
